OUT OF PROGRAMME

So you want to do an OOP - what is it and what do you have to do?

An OOP is a period of time spent Out Of Programme. You can only apply for an OOP after you have completed your first year of training. Your training is paused whilst on an OOP with a corresponding delay to your CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) date. You need to give at least 6 months’ notice, so speak to your Educational Supervisor and Training Programme Director early even if you’re just considering taking an OOP. You should also have a supported return to training after any OOP longer than 3 months.
