NECL deanery fully supports trainees who want to train less than full time. Here is a list of resources that we hope will help you should LTFT training is something you are considering.

General

You will need to apply for LTFT online via HEE.  The intention to go LTFT will need to be discussed with your Training Programme Director (TPD) first. Please refer here for further information, including the portal where you will need to submit your application.

Parental Leave

Please notify your employer and TPD about your parental leave and dates.

Please do see here for the relevant forms that needs filling in before you go on leave. This will allow HEE to offer you support on return to training.

Maternity Leave Pay Entitlements Under the NHS Scheme

Navigating maternity pay can be a minefield. The BMA has very useful resources about this, including increments that should be expected during maternity leave. Please read here for further information.
